Before your first night
Search the crash area before sprinting toward a distant landmark. Pick up every loose component, break the nearby crates, collect food, and learn how the lift places a creation. Your early priorities are simple: enough materials to craft basic tools, a safe supply of food, and a clear mental route back to shelter.
Keep a small chest for Component Kits, fuel, circuits, food, and seeds. Scrap Mechanic rewards experimentation, but losing rare parts in a risky trip can slow progression more than rebuilding a cheap chassis.
Find the Mechanic Station
The Mechanic Station is your first major destination. It becomes a natural base because it offers shelter and the space needed to upgrade your crafting setup. Mark the route, loot cautiously, and avoid fighting every robot until you have a better weapon and healing food.
